365 Photo Challenge
I have officially started the 365 Day Photo Challenge! (One more thing I’ll be able to check off my 101 in 1001 list – in a year anyways!)
I plan on posting each day’s picture here and once a month I’ll chose my top five to share with y’all on the main blog. My sister, Sarah, has also agreed to do the challenge with me. I’m going to post her pictures here as well. I think it’ll be interesting to see what we each choose to take a picture of each day. Enjoy! (PS…If you’re interested you can check out my mom’s daily photos on her website.)

It would be nice to see some explanation of the photos… and you’re not posting on the FB page for the Challenge? Just my two cents…
Yeah I thought about adding captions. I just might do that. And I don’t know, I wasn’t gonna post on the Facebook page, do you think I should?
That’s a really cute pic of Sam. All your photos are good. I seem to have not gotten into the great pics until day 3.
I like your pics. I’ve got a fancier camera. That’s definitely part of why my pictures look good.
Really enjoying these pics! Love the ashtrailor, Sarah! Definitely a better use for ashtrays.
And Jenn… thanks for including a Sam pic. I don’t know if you need to enter all of them on the FB page, but I definitely think the Sam pic should be entered into their photo of the week. I bet it will win!
Oh, and Sarah… congrats on becoming a notary… that’s so cool.
They pick weekly winners? Huh…didn’t know that.
Thanks. I don’t actually want to be a notary. I didn’t have a choice. Is there a prize for the photo of the week or is the prize just being picked?
I don’t know about whether there is a prize, Sarah. I just noticed they were soliciting entries for the weekly photo. You had to put it in a note, rather than just on their wall; I didn’t bother. I think they only had 3 entries, so it might not be hard to win.
Funny that you guys both photographed the sky on the same day!
I know right?!
Wow, Jenn… your legs are SO long! haha
So I almost used a shadow shot I took the other day at Barton Creek. I think we’re too alike in our picture taking.
I like Day 16, Sarah… very artistic! Same for your pic of splashing water, Jenn!
Rain… wow!
The lighting in that soccer picture is pretty cool, Jenn. Almost looks like a sepia filter with the neon yellow/green popping out like a special effect.
Thanks! I’m not sure what I did exactly. I took the picture with my continuous action setting which cuts down on the quality of the photo so it looked grainy. I tried playing with some of the features when editing like hue, saturation and brightness. I’m still not 100% pleased with it but it’s definitely better than it was without any editing.
Wow. Your pics the last couple of days have been great. And the cloud is not just overtaking the bird. It is totally about to eat it. It’s the second in my predator/prey series. Haha.
Thanks! I’m sorry, I had to edit down what you wrote cause it wouldn’t all fit. I can change it though.
You don’t have to. It’s in the comments now.
Wow! That Day 24 flower pic is gorgeous, Sarah! Love it!
Thanks!!
Oooh… love that nighttime photo, Sarah!
Sarah… what the heck? You worked in a tundra? I am confused…
Haha. I had a sales training to go to this afternoon and it was at Cabela’s. The one in Buda is a huge store with scenes of animals all over.
Jeez…you guys are becoming quite the photographers. You should try selling some of these photos!
Jenn… back in the late 60s/early 70s there were lots of posters showing animals either hanging from things or hanging out with captions like “Just hanging in there” or “Hang in there, baby!” Your squirrel photo puts me in mind of those. So cute…
Sarah… I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your photo of the different colors and brightness of leaves. That is just breathtaking!
Thanks! And we’re only one month in. Just think how awesome our photos might be by the end of twelve months!
Thanks. I like it too. it’s been a bit of a challenge the last few days getting good pics because I’ve had to take them on my phone.
I was thinking that same thing!
Ooo..those flowers are really pretty!
Thanks!
I love the flowers too! Where was that taken? And Sarah, the pumpkin is cute… is it your work?
Thanks Mom! We went to a pumpkin farm for Jackson and Addison’s birthdays yesterday out in Marble Falls. They have fields of zinnias that you can pick. They were gorgeous! And yes, Sar and I carved pumpkins on Saturday. Isn’t hers cute?
Jenn… Yes, Sar’s pumpkin is super cute… and where yours? Love the pic of Sam in his bath… does he like it much? And those cowboy boots are so precious… great gift from your dad!
Sarah… interesting self portrait… and I’d missed that one of Sam crying… first time he didn’t look totally cute in a pic… though I have to admit, even his “ugly” crying face is kinda cute (I think I’m smitten). Love that picture of the path through the trees… is that near your new apartment?
Yeah. The path is part of the Wells Branch Hike and Bike Trail.
Just found the Halloween photo of Sam… adorable!… though I’m not sure he agrees. haha
Sarah… spooky Jack-O-Lantern pic… where’d you get that?
Across the street from Jenn’s house.
Love the owl eclairs! Too cute! Day 60… you were at Chilis, weren’t you, Jenn?
Sarah… love the sky in Day 67! And cool eye photo, Day 65… you? And Day 53′s “shadow portrait”?… Awesome!
Ummm… and Day 48… am I a ghost? You can see Jenn’s kitchen through my arms? Eek!
All in all… these photos were worth waiting for! Now I just have to catch up with posting mine…
Actually we were at Rosa’s. They just have the same tile on their tables as Chilis. Apparently there’s only one Mexican style tile available for restaurant chains.
I absolutely love the guitar string art! Did you make it? Do you have any instructions on how to recreate it??
