Hi everyone! I’m back with you’re week 26 update. This week started out kind of crappy with my husband and I working complete opposite shifts. We didn’t see eachother for almost 3 days straight unless you count when one or the other of us was sleeping. It stunk!
Baby wise, I’m feeling great! I had my glucose screening this week. I should hear by the end of today if the test comes back abnormal. Please (I mean it) cross your fingers for me that I pass so I don’t have to take the 3-hour test. Please.
According to the doctor my weight, blood pressure, baby’s heartbeat and my belly size are all perfect! Yay baby boy! You’re already perfect!
I did get a couple scary nosebleeds this week. Both on Monday. Each lasted 20-25 minutes and it was just non-stop blood flowing out of my nose. Gross, right? Apparently next time that happens I’m supposed to go to urgent care. Whoops.
Anyways, other than that this pregnancy is going great! He’s the size of an English hothouse cucumber. (Five points if you actually know what that is)
Alright, I’m off to West Texas to visit some of my husband’s family and friends for the weekend! Have a great weekend!
We’ve lived in the same rental house for 2 1/2 years and little by little we’ve tried to make the house a little more “our own”.
Last week I decided to conquer one of our blank walls. I decided I wanted to make a photo collage wall. I’ve been looking at inspiration pictures online for awhile now to help me brainstorm what I wanted.
While the rest of my house is not as gorgeously decorated as the photos above, I’m happy with the way my photo wall turned out. I decided that symmetry was important to me and I wanted to keep all the frames the same color. And I knew I wanted to mix photos and text. Let me just show you want I came up with!
I love how it turned out! It was definitely a lot more work then I thought it would be. Trying to keep everything straight and equally spaced was a challenge. The best part of this project was the cost. My husband had some old black frames he generously donated to the project and then I ran to the Dollar Tree to pick out a bunch more black frames. The total cost of this project was $9!
Did any of y’all try to conquer a photo wall in your home? What guidelines to you use to design your wall?
Exciting news! I know this blog is relatively new, but it’s time for a re-do. New title, new color scheme, complete new look! Hopefully I’ll have it ready in the next couple weeks. My mom is working on creating a new masterpiece for me!
Woo hoo, another week down! And with this new week, new things.
First, I think I’m turning into a Hobbit. That’s right ladies, I’ve got giant Hobbit feet (minus the hair, thank god.)
Basically pre-pregnancy I was already wearing a size 10 shoe. Last week I switched to sneakers at work because my feet have been killing me. Eight hours a day on my feet is no fun. Unfortunately by the end of the day my toes felt like I was wearing a size 7 shoe all day. I checked my feet when I got home and my feet didn’t look swollen. Then over the weekend I put on another pair of my size 10 closed toe shoes and again my toes were extra snug. Well crap, that damn rumor about pregnant women’s feet growing is true apparently.
Here comes the next fun part. Size 10 is hard enough to find. Size 11 is impossible. Thankfully, at least for right now I was just looking for sneakers. I just bought some men’s shoes instead. Size 9 men’s sneakers. Only 3 sizes smaller than my husband. I feel like freakin’ big foot.
And in other fun news, I’ve apparently been getting leg cramps in the middle of the night. I say apparently because I don’t remember the cramping. I just get the pleasure of waking up and feeling like I pulled a calf or hamstring muscle. It’s really delightful again when I spend so much time on my feet everyday.
But enough complaining. Other than my over-sized feet and weird leg cramp aftermath pain, I’ve been feeling great! I’ve got my glucose test coming up next week. Woo tasty orange drink!
Hi! I’m at 24 weeks, or six months! Time is flying. I can’t believe we’re almost half way through April already. It’ll be July before we know it.
Let’s kick off the week with a picture and then we’ll get to the completed project.
I’m even wearing regular pre-pregnancy jeans in this picture. The top button is undone but the zipper is all the way up and they still fit. I’m sick of wearing pregnancy pants. Already, I know. I’ve still got a ways to go but I needed a break for the day.
He’s the size of an ear of corn this week!
Everything’s been going great with me. I’m still a little tired but exercising is definitely helping. I try to go on at least a couple walks every week with my husband and I go to Zumba once or twice a week, whenever I can swing it with my crazy work schedule. I’m kind of curious about prenatal yoga but haven’t gotten around to trying it yet. I figure I’ll just try one of the ones offered on Netflix Instant Watch.
I feel really lucky with how my pregnancy has gone so far and almost a little guilty. I just recently found out a close friend of mine is pregnant. And she has been absolutely miserable. Lots of morning sickness. I think I’ve made pregnancy look glamorous with my non-existent symptoms and general awesomeness. Sorry friend. It’ll get better. Promise.
Ok and now for the completion of my project. I finally finished my crib bumper! It only took me almost a month to finish. I’m sure I made it a lot more complicated than necessary but that’s just how I roll. Anyways, here it is in it’s completed glory:
It was a ton of work but I’m so proud of how it turned out and my husband was amazed. I think I surprise him with my craftiness on a pretty regular basis. I’ll post a DIY on this bumper this week if you’re interested in making one of your own.
Happy Monday. Hope y’all have a great week!
